Enabling Ouigo Refund Process in Goelett

We’ve automated the refund process for Ouigo train services in Goelett, for refund requests submitted via Ouigo website. This enhancement provides a more convenient and efficient refund experience for users who encounter involuntary cancellations on Ouigo train services.

How it works:

  1. Ouigo Refund Initiation:
    When a user experiences an involuntary cancellation of a Ouigo train service, they initiate the refund process on the Ouigo website.
  2. Automatic Refund Tracking:
    Goelett’s system regularly checks Ouigo’s platform (once per day) to retrieve a list of refund requests submitted by Goelett users.

Refund Processing:
For refund requests that are due for processing, Goelett automatically changes the cancelled Ouigo train status to cancelled. The TMC handles the refund on their end

Single Segment Cancelation Retained for Rail Trips

We’ve improved the handling of canceled rail segments within train trip bookings. Previously, all canceled rail services were automatically deleted from the cart, regardless of the cancellation reason (voluntary and involuntary ones). Now, involuntary canceled rail segments within the single or roundtrip will be retained in the cart, but will be displayed in a grayed-out, inactive state. This provides a clearer overview of the trip itinerary, allowing users to easily identify and track canceled segments. This enhancement provides a more user-friendly experience and simplifies the process of managing partially canceled rail services.

Apartment Offers in the Hotel Content

The new feature allows to include apartments as an accommodation option alongside hotels. This provides users with a wider range of choices for their stays, especially in destinations where apartments might be a more suitable or affordable option. The “Apartments offer” feature is a global setting that affects all users.

User Experience:

  • Search results: When the “Apartments offer” is enabled, apartments will be displayed alongside other accommodation options in search results.

Filters: Users can choose to hide apartments from the initial search by unchecking the “Show apartments offer” checkbox. However, they can still search for apartments by manually checking this option.

Loyalty Points Available with Expedia

We decided to extend our connectivity with Expedia and use the possibility of marking rates that are eligible for earning loyalty points introduced by this provider. So far, collecting loyalty points has been available only via GDSs. The rates will be marked as usual by the loyalty points tag.

Enhanced Hotel Card Functionality

We’ve introduced significant improvements to the hotel card feature within our mobile app. This marks the initial phase of our mobile app development for the hotel booking flow, previously available only on the web view for mobile.

Key enhancements:

Offline Accessibility:
Hotel cards are now cached on your device, allowing you to view reservation details even without an internet connection.

Expanded Support:
Native cards are supported for all booking statuses except Draft.

Voucher Download:
Download vouchers in multiple languages for offline access, mirroring the desktop app’s functionality. Our virtual assistant, Jules, will provide additional information and guidance on downloading and using hotel vouchers.

This update empowers mobile app users with greater flexibility and convenience when accessing hotel reservation details.

How does it look in the app?

Resolved: Approver Notification Timing Issue

We’ve addressed a bug that caused second-level approvers to receive approval notifications simultaneously with first-level approvers, potentially leading to confusion. The notification timing has now been corrected to ensure that second-level approvers receive notifications only after the trip has been approved by first-level approvers.

Goelett Integration with Umbrella Faces

We have enhanced Goelett by integrating it with Umbrella Faces to streamline traveler profile management. This powerful combination enables seamless data synchronization between Goelett, Umbrella Faces, and GDS, saving TMC time and reducing errors. By automating data transfer, TMC agents can focus on higher-value tasks, while travelers benefit from faster bookings and a more personalized experience.

New Hotel Voucher Design

This update enhances hotel voucher readability and provides clearer information for travelers.

What’s New:

  • Hotel addresses now include city and zip code for easier reference.
  • The sections are clearer, and it is easy to find the necessary information.
  • Room types are replaced by specific room names for better clarity.
  • Clickable map illustration to redirect users to Google Maps with the hotel location and so they can create a route.

Accor Business Plus Card Integration

Goelett users can now leverage the Accor Business Plus card program directly through our platform. This subscription-based program offers enticing discounts and benefits for stays at Accor Group hotels and it is not loyalty points program. Discount availability depends on hotel and booking criteria.

What is the experience like for business traveler?

  • The “ALL Plus” tag identifies rates eligible for the Accor Business Plus card discount during hotel search.
  • Hovering over the rate reveals a reminder: “Accor Business Plus card required at check-in. Otherwise, the hotel can refuse the booking.”
  • User must have Accor Business Plus card configured (currently, the Accor Business Card for Accor hotels), in order to book these discounted rates.
  • User must carry the Accor Business Plus card and present it at the hotel check-in to receive the discounted rate.

Streamlined Certificate Customization

We’re improving certificate management by changing the content/text of certificate.

Admins can now add a new optional field, “Market/Contract Number,” to certificates within the admin panel. This text field allows users to define a specific code.
