Development Lead

In Goelett, we are an extraordinary mix of travel industry experts, product, and software engineers, developing a successful online booking tool for corporations and large organizations. Today, as a part of the sector leader S4BT Group, we support 500k+ business users making thousands of bookings a day.

We are seeking a Development Lead who will own end-to-end product development, lead agile Value Stream to deliver scalable solutions, and elevate team capability through hands-on mentorship and architectural excellence. As part of Goelett’s two-in-a-box model. The Development Lead works hand-in-hand with a Product Manager, sharing end-to-end ownership for delivery, KPIs, and team outcomes.

What you will be doing:

Own end-to-end product development for the squad- Design, guide, and deliver features that solve customer problems, working backwards from user needs to technical solutions.
Lead the Value Stream within the Goelett Product House, ensuring alignment with group engineering and product standards. Collaborate with Product Managers to set goals, manage sprints, drive and improve team metrics, and ensure quality delivery through effective mentorship of developers. Collaborate closely with QA teams in other locations to ensure continuous delivery and 12-hour development cycles.
Be accountable for key delivery metrics such as cycle time, release quality, and customer adoption.
Eliminate customer pain points – Fix bugs, analyze root causes, resolve technical debt, and address security, scalability, and performance issues to maintain product reliability and customer trust.
Drive technical excellence – Provide architectural guidance, design system components, prepare technical specifications, and develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure quality at scale.
Validate and innovate – Perform technology analysis, proof-of-concepts, and system evaluations to identify opportunities and reduce risk before customer impact.
Deploy and scale solutions – Ensure seamless product deployment on existing environments while designing for future growth and evolving customer demands.
Build engineering capability – Foster best practices, share knowledge, and develop team skills to increase velocity and deliver customer value faster.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in agile product development environment
3+ years of team management and/or system design experience
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience
Extensive knowledge of used technologies (Backend: C#, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL; Frontend: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Angular JS, Angular)

System Analyst

We're looking for an experienced System Analyst to help design and deliver scalable software solutions in a complex environment. You will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, QA, and external partners, translating business needs into clear requirements and ensuring successful delivery of new features.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand complex systems and integrations. Experience in the travel industry or airline distribution is a plus, but not a requirement.

What you will be doing:

Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and system requirements.
Prepare user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Design solutions together with Product Leaders and Engineering teams, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
Analyze existing system behavior and identify opportunities for improvement.
Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support resolution of complex product and integration problems.
Work closely with developers and QA throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented correctly.

What we’re looking for:

3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role in software development.
Experience in the travel technology industry, such as OTAs, airlines, GDSs, reservation systems, travel management, or travel platforms.
Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into functional requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

About Position

The Head of Development is a senior technology leader responsible for building and leading a high-performing engineering organization that delivers secure, scalable, and reliable platforms powering the S4BT ecosystem.

Working in a two-in-a-box partnership with the Head of Product, you will translate strategic priorities into technology execution, balancing innovation, operational excellence, and long-term platform sustainability.

You will also play a key role in Goelett’s evolution into the central Product and Technology Hub of the S4BT Group, working closely with executive leadership and the Group CISO to establish modern engineering and governance practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Engineering Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional agile squads, fostering collaboration among developers, testers, and technical support teams.
Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within each squad.
Ensure alignment of all technical teams with the overall product strategy and business goals.
Establish clear performance goals and ensure teams deliver on sprint commitments and quality standards.

2. Product Development & Delivery

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, from planning and prioritization through to release and post-launch support.

We are looking for maternity leave cover – part-time job.

Work model: 4 days in the office + 1 remote
