Improved Refund Handling for Train Bookings

Goelett has implemented a new process for handling refunds on train bookings to prevent potential fraudulent behavior with refunded tickets being used for travel. When a traveler requests a refund for a train ticket shortly before their departure date, the refund will now be delayed until after the train has reached its destination. This helps to ensure that the ticket cannot be used for travel after the refund has been requested.

To provide transparency and clarity, the booking history will be updated with the respective information.

This enhancement provides a more secure and reliable refund process for train bookings, preventing potential fraud and ensuring a smooth experience for travelers.

Expanded Sabre Offline Import Functionality for Hotels 

We have expanded Sabre offline import capabilities to read those created for hotels. In addition to current functionalities for offline bookings done by Sabre agents, like air, rail and car, users can now import hotel bookings made offline and see them in Goelett. This improves process of managing and tracking all travel reservations. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and efficiency for managing travel data within Goelett.

Fixed: Cancellation Issue After Ticketing for Swiss Airlines via NDC

An issue has been resolved that prevented cancellations after ticketing for Swiss Airlines flights booked through Travelfusion NDC. Previously, attempting to modify or cancel a ticketed Swiss Airlines booking through Travelfusion NDC could result in errors. This issue has been corrected, and users can now modify or cancel ticketed Swiss Airlines bookings as expected.

Fixed: Ticket Exchange Error for NDC Bookings

An issue has been resolved that caused errors and prevented ticket cancellations after exchanges were made for NDC bookings. This error, related to a deadlock situation during the exchange process, has been addressed to ensure smooth and reliable ticket exchanges and cancellations.

New Car Card in Mobile App

The Goelett mobile app now features a new car card, providing a detailed view of car rental information within a trip. This card offers a comprehensive overview of the rented car, including all relevant details and booking information, such as: a photo of the car, provider name, car brand, pick-up and drop-off addresses, dates, and times. A clear and concise summary of the car booking is available in the summary. All information is displayed in the user’s preferred language. The car card is accessible from the Trip Summary view in the mobile app.

Travel Agency Contact Info Added 

Goelett’s mobile app now provides quick and convenient access to your TMC’s contact information. Users can easily find their TMC’s phone number and email address directly within the app.

For added convenience, each contact option is integrated with the relevant apps on user’s mobile device. This means every app user can call their TMC with a single tap or send them an email directly from their phone.

Enhanced Terminology: Bookings Now Called “Trips”

To improve clarity and consistency, Goelett has updated the terminology used throughout the app. “Bookings” are now referred to as “Trips.” This change aligns the language used in the app with common industry terms and provides a more intuitive user experience.

Fixed: Missing Approval Link in Emails

A bug has been fixed that caused the approval link to be missing from automatic validation emails sent to approvers. This issue has been resolved, and approvers will now receive emails with the correct link to approve travel requests.

Two-Way Integration with Umbrella Faces Now Available

Goelett has completed and certified a two-way integration with Umbrella Faces, a leading global profile management tool for TMCs and corporations. This integration allows for seamless and flexible exchange of profile data between Goelett and Umbrella Faces, eliminating the need for data resynchronization.

Enhanced Hotel Filtering

Goelett has refined the hotel search filtering process to provide more accurate and efficient results. Previously, applying advanced filters like meal availability, local tax inclusion, or refundability sometimes led to search results that included hotels without any valid rates. This created a frustrating experience for users and hindered the booking process.
To address this, a stricter filtering mechanism has been implemented. This new mechanism filters out hotels that do not meet the specified criteria during the initial search, ensuring that the displayed results are more relevant and accurate.
