Outlook invitation status update

Following the recent implementation of automatic integration of travels into the Outlook calendar, we have updated the status of Outlook invitations from “busy” to “available” for hotel, train and car bookings. For air bookings accepting calendar invite would remain “busy”.

This change provides greater flexibility for users in managing their schedules and availability.

Improved calendar event updates for ticket modification

We have added new enhancement to Goelett and Outlook calendars integration to provide more accurate and up-to-date information about travel events. When a ticket modification occurs, such as an exchange or refund, the corresponding event in the user’s Outlook calendar will now be updated to reflect the change. This improvement ensures that travelers have the most current information about their travel plans readily available in their calendars.

Enhanced community field validation for user profiles

We have improved the validation of community fields in user profiles to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company-specific settings.

For companies that have enabled the CommunityRequiredForUsers parameter, the community field is now treated as mandatory. This means that if a community value is not provided or the provided value is not valid, an error will be thrown, preventing the creation or updating of the user profile. However, profile deactivation will not be blocked, even if the community field is missing or invalid.

This validation applies to various scenarios, including:

• File imports

• SBT API

• Goelett API

• Manual profile creation

• Profile editing through the add/edit screen

Improved phone and mobile number handling in SBT and Goelett APIs

We have enhanced the handling of phone and mobile numbers in the SBT and Goelett APIs. Previously, these APIs used the same validation rules as the user interface, which did not allow spaces in phone and mobile numbers. To address this, the APIs now automatically convert phone and mobile number values to the expected format, removing any spaces.

For example, a number entered as “XX XX XX XX XX” will be converted to “XXXXXXXXXX”. This change ensures that phone and mobile numbers are processed correctly, regardless of how they are entered.

Note that values other than numeric characters are still not allowed in phone and mobile numbers.

Negotiated rates now available for NDC tickets via Sabre

Goelett now supports booking negotiated fares for NDC tickets via Sabre, giving TMCs and their clients access to exclusive discounts and personalized offers. This option can be enabled by selecting the “NDC Sabre” option under the “Negotiated Fares” tab in the Goelett setup.  Negotiated fares are clearly labeled throughout the booking process, ensuring transparency and cost savings for all users

Rail discount and loyalty card validation

Goelett now validates rail discount and loyalty cards to ensure accurate fares during each booking. When a traveler adds or updates a card in their profile, our system automatically validates the card details. If the traveler hasn’t recently updated their card, it will be validated when they book a fare that requires it. If the card fails validation, they’ll see a clear message explaining the issue and guiding them to update their card details or try booking again.

This enhancement helps ensure travelers receive the correct discounts and benefits associated with their rail cards and prevents issues with ticket issuance and travel.

Automated passport details for Eurostar bookings

Goelett now automatically adds passport details to Eurostar bookings made through the Trainline API, streamlining the process and ensuring compliance with the UK law. If a traveler has stored passport details in their Goelett profile, the system retrieves and sends this information to Eurostar automatically. If no passport details are stored, the traveler is prompted to add them during booking.

This enhancement eliminates the need for travelers to manually provide passport information on the Eurostar website, simplifying the booking experience and saving time.

New air native card in the mobile app

The Goelett mobile app now features a new flight card, providing a comprehensive and user-friendly way to view and manage flight details within a trip. This new view is providing travelers with easy access to essential flight information and streamlining the check-in process. The flight card includes:

  • Booking overview: a concise summary of the booked flights.
  • Itinerary/timeline: detailed flight information in chronological order, including departure and arrival times, flight numbers, and airport details.
  • Check-in functionality: a convenient check-in button for eligible flights, allowing users to proceed directly to the airline’s website for check-in.

Hotel vouchers autosave

Hotel vouchers, once opened, are now automatically stored on the device enabling offline access.

Sabre offline import fixes

Goelett has implemented several fixes to improve the reliability and functionality of Sabre offline imports.

Key fixes include:

Improved handling of missing TLD (Total Leg Data) information: The import process now handles cases where the TLD is missing from the Price Quote (PQ) due to agent queuing before the carrier adds the SSR (Special Service Request).

Expanded car booking support: The import now supports car bookings with pickup/dropoff stations that do not have an IATA code, increasing the range of importable bookings.

These fixes enhance the stability and usability of the Sabre offline import functionality, ensuring a smoother experience for users.
