What you will be doing:
- Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and system requirements.
- Prepare user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Design solutions together with Product Leaders and Engineering teams, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
- Analyze existing system behavior and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support resolution of complex product and integration problems.
- Work closely with developers and QA throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented correctly.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on system integrations and data flows.
- Support backlog refinement, effort estimation, release planning, and risk identification.
- Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Contribute to improving analysis practices, documentation standards, and product development processes.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role in software development.
- Experience in the travel technology industry, such as OTAs, airlines, GDSs, reservation systems, travel management, or travel platforms.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into functional requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- English proficiency (B2+) to work in an international environment.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of airline distribution, GDSs (Amadeus, Sabre), or NDC.
- Experience with SQL and API testing tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with UML, BPMN, or sequence diagrams.
- Understanding of microservices or cloud-based applications.Curiosity to understand how complex systems work.
